I initially went into college pursuing a health science degree for practical reasons, to have a stable and always in demand career. I have always been interested in science and medicine, even back to my high school anatomy classes. The human body is amazingly intricate, and I know I can spend my whole career still learning more. Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?:I always wanted to be in healthcare since a small child but I originally wanted to be a veterinarian due to my love of all creatures.After my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, I saw how amazing her healthcare providers were and how they changed her healthcare experience.They were always there for her and were so kind/caring.It was at that time that I shifted my focus to humans as I felt that I could make a large impact on many.I chose to be a physician assistant so I could minimize my school debt and start my family sooner. We have two high energy daughters, Sophia and Gianna. My family loves all creatures and we have an almost 18 year old cat named Ambie (and two fish).I love my job and caring for my patients.
